Under the Data Protection Act you have the right to see the personal information that we hold about you in our records. All personal information is treated confidentially and is safely stored on our computer, with security systems preventing unauthorised access.  If you do not wish for us to hold your information, please do not submit your details through our website.

How Your Information Will Be Used

Your information will be used for a number of purposes which may include: automatically processing your quotation; managing and administering your policy; and, responding to complaints or policy enquiries. Your Life Protected will speak with underwriters and let you know which insurers will be able to offer you the most competitive options. These third parties may use your information to keep you informed by post, telephone or email of products or services which may be of interest.

Your Life Solutions Limited will not share any of your personal details with any other 3rd parties unless we need to comply with any applicable laws to protect ourselves, or in the case that our business is sold, in which case we may be required to share your details with prospective buyers.

Holding Your Information

If we arrange a policy for you, we are required by law to keep your details on file. The details we keep will include: Name, Date of Birth, Address and Contact Details (e.g. Phone Number & Email Address). We will also keep on file notes relating to your application and policy. We will keep this information in order to ensure that we can best service your needs as and when required.

If we do not arrange a policy for you but you ask us to contact you in the future, we will store all of the above information once again to ensure that we are able to best service your needs.

If you decide that you do not want to be contacted by us, we will ensure that all of your details are deleted from our system and you will not be contacted by us again.

Please quote your name, postal address and email address along with the details of your requirement. We will take reasonable steps to confirm your identity before providing you with details of any personal information we may hold about you. Therefore we will request that you provide two forms of identification, such as a copy of a passport or driving licence and a copy of a utility bill to confirm address.

In accordance with the Data Protection Act, 1998 we are entitled to charge £10 to cover the administration costs involved with this process. Please make cheques payable to “Your Life Solutions Limited”.
